
Airlines are planning for 30 million passengers to visit Mallorca this summer, with capacity on their planes expected to bulge by 10% during the peak months of the season.
They have requested 30.8 million seats between the end of March and the end of October, breaking the pre-Covid high water market in 2019 by a million.
Demand from holidaymakers appears to be keeping pace with these reservations, with airlines closely monitoring trends.
Holidaymakers beware, however: prices have also been rising in line with demand.
Germany is the largest source of flights to Mallorca with 146 weekly flights, followed by the UK.
