Bad weather from Storm Efrain kills one in Spain’s Salamanca province, sweeps away road in Extremadura 

TORRENTIAL rain in Spain’s Extremadura region from Storm Efrain caused chaos on Tuesday, sweeping away part of a road in Caceres province due to the huge volume of water that passed underneath a bridge (see video below).  The weather caused other roads to be closed, including the route linking the cities of Caceres and Badajoz.

Toddler who went missing with grandfather in Spain’s Huelva province dies in hospital

A FAMILY in Spain’s Huelva province has suffered two tragic losses in the space of just five days. Last Wednesday Antonio Blanco Gil, 55, went missing with his 22-month grandson Daniel, to be found dead in his car the next day with the child in a critical condition.
