BREAKING: Suspected jihadist, 22, is arrested in Andalucia as Spain launches crackdown on terror activity after attacks in France and Belgium

A SUSPECTED jihadist has been arrested in Andalucia as Spain intensifies its anti-terror operations following attacks in France and Belgium.

The 22-year-old was cuffed following a raid on his home in Huetor Tajar, Granada, on Friday monring.

According to news agency EFE, Policia Nacional were alerted to the suspect through his ‘jihadist activity’ on social media.

The investigation is still ongoing and police are not revealing any further details.

According to Granada newspaper Ideal, agents from the Special Operations Group of the Policia Nacional were in charge of the arrest, which occurred at dawn in the small town of around 10,000 people.
