A SINGAPORE tourist has been reported missing after she was last sighted leaving a Costa Blanca hotel on April 9.
Audrey Fang, 39, had travelled on her own to Spain and was spending a few days at a luxury hotel in Javea with reservations made between April 4 and 10.
Her family last spoke to her on April 9 and she was last spotted walking out of the hotel at around 8.45pm with her personal belongings still in her room.
She had been due to fly back to Singapore from Barcelona but did not make the journey.
There’s been no contact for eight days and a family friend living in Madrid has reported Audrey’s disappearance to the Singapore consulate who in turn contacted the Guardia Civil.
“It’s a distressing situation,” the friend told the EFE news agency, who added that members of Fang’s family are expected to travel to Spain soon.
Audrey’s brother, Benjamin Fang, confirmed to Singapore media that she had been on a solo trip, but believed she was going to meet a friend.
When she failed to board her flight back and did not arrive in Singapore as scheduled on April 12, the family filed a police report and also made contact with the country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“We would like to appeal to members of the public who are in Spain or anyone who has seen her for information,” Benjamin said.
Audrey is approximately 1.65 metres tall, of medium build, and has a tanned complexion with short cropped hair.
