Frenchman kills neighbour and then turns gun on himself at luxury Costa Blanca urbanisation in Spain

THE BODIES of two men who were neighbours on a Calpe urbanisation have been discovered by the Guardia Civil on Monday.

Both had gunshot wounds with one of the victims being a French national, while the other was Spanish.

Emergency services were alerted by a Maryvilla urbanisation resident at 9.45am who heard a gunshot.

Guardia Civil and Calpe Policia Local units went to the scene as well as paramedics.

The first indication is that the French national shot the Spaniard three times and then turned the gun on himself.

Reports suggest the Spaniard was in his thirties and worked for Calpe council.

Inquiries are in their very early stage and no reason for what happened has been put forward.

It’s not known if anybody else was present during the shootings, but counselling is being provided to the two families of the deceased by Calpe social services.

No more information is available about the incident
