THIS is the moment a Spanish police officer is willingly tasered by colleagues as part of a bizarre training session.
A video from Civil Guard training in Seville this week shows an officer being shot in the back with the electrical weapon – sending bolts of electricity charging through his body.
He screams in agony before two other officers, who are holding onto each of his arms, place him down on a blue gym mat.
The officer holding the weapon then stings him his calf for good measure, causing him to shriek once more.
The room is then heard erupting into applause as he says in Spanish: “Offt god, what a trip, my soul left by body!”
The teacher then removes the electrical prongs from his back which begin to ooze blood, as he sprays the wounds with disinfectant.
The clip was recorded by the ‘Friends of the Civil Guard of Seville’.
The training session comes after a wave of violent attacks against police officers in southern Spain, particularly in Cadiz, in recent years.
The region is a drug trafficking hotbed thanks to its proximity to the port of Algeciras, which is a major entry point for cocaine and other drugs from South America into Europe.
Last month a baton-wielding thug, 26, attacked a group of Civil Guard officers at a police station in Chiclana, Cadiz, causing multiple injuries – before he was neutralised by a Taser.
The attack led to the force’s union (AUGC), to demand more of the weapons be made available to officers, as their jobs have become ‘more dangerous’.
The force uses Axon-branded guns, which must only be used in the most extreme circumstances.
Under Spanish law their usage must not put the lives of citizens at risk.
