COFFIN UP: The price of death is lower in southern Spain with funeral and cremation charges far higher in the north

SOUTHERN Spain is the cheapest part of the country to die, according to the OCU consumer association. The highest prices for funerals and cremations were reported in Vigo in the north-west, averaging out at €6,115. Cadiz in the south averaged a far more modest €2,551. An OCU investigation contacted 113 funeral homes in 29 cities.
